DSST
The DANTES Subject Standardized Test (DSST) is a nationally recognized testing program that gives you the opportunity to receive college credit for learning acquired outside the traditional college classroom. The program is administered year-round by colleges and universities throughout the United States. DSST offers over 30+ test titles in the areas of Social Science, Business, Mathematics, Applied Technology, Humanities, and Physical Science.

Registration Information
- Students select the DSST exam. If students are unsure of which DSST test is required for their program of study, please contact the students' academic advisor or the registrar.
- To schedule a DDST testing appointment, contact the Testing Center by calling (402) 844-7281 or(402) 844-7708, emailing testing@northeast.edu, or visiting the Testing Center located in the College Welcome Center, Room 1252 or Room 1256.
- Students will pay the testing fee directly to DSST with a valid debit/credit card and a non-refundable administration fee to Northeast on the day of the test.
- If students are “Authorized Military” candidates, they are not required to submit the DDST testing fee.
- Cash payments are not accepted for the DSST testing fee.
DSST
- DSST exam credit will only be entered on students' Northeast transcripts if they are currently enrolled or have graduated from Northeast.
- Every institution sets its own policies regarding DSST. If students think they might transfer to another institution, they should know the policy of both institutions before taking the DSST exam.
- Students can take two exams on any given exam date.
- Students must wait 30 days to retake a failed DSST exam.
- DSST testing is computer-based, and students' results and score reports can be reviewed online at tcnet.prometric.com/dsst.
- A current government-issued photo ID with signature is required for all DSST testing.
- Where calculators are allowed; only non-programmable, four-function, handheld calculators may be used.
Civilian Testers
Acceptable forms of photo identification include:
- Current Driver's license
- State approved ID
- Current state or federal ID card
- Current passport or passport card
- Tribal ID card
- Naturalization card
Military candidates must present a current military ID.
