Beginning Wine Making

Discover the winemaking process, wine styles, testing and adjusting the must and equipment needed for home winemaking. The winemaking process as it relates to a wine kit will be stressed. Topics such as racking, topping, sulfiting and sanitizing will be covered in-depth and a wine kit will be made. All major steps will be demonstrated including bottling and corking.

Creative Digital Photography

Would you like to take creative pictures beyond what a cell phone can do, but need some help with some basic photo concepts? We’ve got the class for you! Learn some of the do’s and don’ts, as well as basic composition and lighting. Explore settings your camera allows you to maximize your creative potential. Discussion will involve a variety of cameras from cell phones, point and shoots, DSLRs and new mirrorless cameras. We will shoot photos as a group and share the results. Bring your camera equipment, including tripods and manuals, if available.

Cricut Crafts

Get creative with your Cricut! Join Laci in this interactive class to learn how to use your Cricut machine. You will learn how to use DesignSpace while also creating a design for a shirt, apron, wood block, tile, travel mug, etc. You can create something for yourself or use as a gift! Laci will bring her heat press so you will leave the class with a finished project! If you have a Cricut bring your machine and a laptop to the class. Don’t have a Cricut? Come and learn what it can all do! Bring your own blank craft, weeding tools and a ruler and a couple design ideas sketched or written down. All other supplies will be provided and are included in the cost of the class.

Cricut Crafts - Wood Earrings

Create earrings using your Cricut machine. In this class, you will learn to make wood earrings using iron-on vinyl and how to fashion leather earrings at home. Leave class with a new pair of wood earrings, as well as several blank sets so you can continue creating at home! The skills you take away from class will allow you to create other wood projects such as banners, gifts, wall art, and more. Bring your Cricut to class if you have one.

Cricut Crafts-Christmas Ornaments

Make the perfect holiday décor in this Cricut class with Jewel Swanson! You will learn how to create customized tree ornaments using vinyl on round bulb ornaments and rustic wood slices. You’ll go home with new ornaments you can use as gifts or décor, as well as several blank ornaments so you can continue creating at home! The skills you learn in this class, including curving text and navigating Cricut Design Space, will enable you to make any project at home. If you have a Cricut, please bring it to class.

Crochet - Ice Cream

Have fun whipping up this delicious little friend as you learn to crochet! This ice cream amigurumi doll is made in the round using only single crochet stitches. In this class you will learn how to chain, single crochet in the round, and how to increase and decrease stitches. Two, 2-hour sessions, with an online group office hour for help in between class meetings. You will need: Size K (6.5mm) crochet hook, stuffing material, and any buttons, beads, or other embellishments you want to use to decorate your finished ice cream doll. $5.00 Yarn Kit included in price of class.
