Job Description:

Diversified row crop farm and cattle ranch looking for capable individual to help throughout the summer. Opportunity for job to turn into full-time year round position. Job responsibilities include: *Operating and servicing newer farm equipment *Assist with chemical and fertilizer application *Scouting fields for weed, insect, disease, and nutrition issues *Collect soil and tissue samples *Windrow, rake, and bale hay *Diagnose and treat illness and injury in cattle *Vaccinate cattle against disease *Calculate feed rations and feed cattle *Manage grazing of summer pastures *Maintain and build pasture fence *Maintain water tanks *Haul manure Intern position pays $18/hr. If applicant enjoys cattle and is interested in working on a cattle ranch for the summer, a salary position is available. Salary position pays $2,000/month plus a house to live in for the summer. Ranch is located south of Valentine, NE.

Job Requirements

Individual must: *be trainable/willing to learn *have a reliable vehicle to get to and from work. *not do drugs or drink alcohol; we are a family farm operation
