High School Students
High school juniors and seniors can begin earning college credit through Early College opportunities at no tuition cost. These credits apply toward future college coursework, helping students save time and reduce the overall cost of college while still in high school.

Fridays @ Northeast
Fridays @ Northeast gives high school seniors the opportunity to spend one day each week on the South Sioux City campus experiencing college life firsthand. Students learn in college classrooms and lab spaces while exploring technical career pathways through introductory coursework connected to Northeast programs of study.
Participants earn college credit at no tuition cost, helping them get a head start before high school graduation. The program combines career exploration, hands-on learning, and practical skill development while giving students an early connection to college and future career opportunities.
Traditional College Opportunities
The South Sioux City Extended Campus offers flexible academic opportunities for students seeking degrees, diplomas, certificates, or transfer-ready credits. Healthcare Education

Workforce Training
The South Sioux City Extended Campus partners with local employers to provide workforce training that strengthens employees, supports business growth, and responds to industry needs. Training opportunities are flexible, practical, and customized to help organizations build a stronger workforce.
Available training opportunities include:
Corporate Training: Customized training designed to meet specific business goals in areas such as leadership, technology, workplace safety, communication, and skill development. Programs are built around employer needs to improve productivity and workforce performance.
Workplace Literacy: Flexible instruction that may include English language development, reading, writing, math, and digital literacy aligned with workplace tasks. Training is developed in partnership with employers to strengthen communication, safety, and employee readiness.
Internships and Apprenticeships: Collaborative learning opportunities that combine classroom instruction with hands-on, on-the-job training. Northeast works with local businesses to help develop skilled employees for current and future workforce needs.
Health and Wellness: Workplace safety and emergency response training including First Aid, CPR, AED, and bloodborne pathogen instruction. Training can be customized for organizations and employee groups

Financial assistance opportunities are available to help students reduce the cost of education and training. Northeast works with students to connect them with funding options that support college coursework, workforce training, and career preparation programs.
Available assistance may include:
- Community College GAP Assistance Program: Provides financial support for eligible students enrolled in short-term workforce training programs tied to high-demand careers.
- Pell Grants and Workforce Pell: Federal financial aid opportunities that can help cover tuition and other educational expenses for qualifying students.
- SNAP Employment and Training (SNAP E&T): Supports eligible students with education and training opportunities designed to build skills for employment and career advancement.
