Scholarships
Cedar Knox Public Power District Memorial Scholarship for Freshmen
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in the Utility Line Program
- Must be a Cedar-Knox PPD service area resident or dependent of a customer. Applicant may also be a resident of Bloomfield, Hartington, Laurel, or Randolph.
- Must be a high school graduate with a GPA of 2.0 or higher
Donald D. Heller Utility Line Scholarship for Freshmen
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in the Utility Line Program
- Applicant’s parent or legal guardian must be a resident ratepayer of Stanton County Public Power District
- Must be a high school graduate with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Elkhorn Valley Bank & Trust Utility Line for Freshmen and Sophomores
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in the Utility Line Program
- Preference is given to residents of Northeast’s 20-county service area
- Must show financial need
Greg Weidner Memorial / Grey & Karen Weidner
Qualifications:
- Must be in Utility Line, AG, Accounting, or Nursing Program
Jacob Benjamin Jensen Memorial Scholarship
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled at least half time in the Utility Line, Lineman program.
Nebraska Open Scholarship
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled full time in accounting, engineering, journalism, political science, business administration, environmental science, information technology, pre-engineering, administrative assistant, utility line, drafting, or electrical program.
- Must have a GPA of 2.5
- Must show financial need
Public Power Equipment for Freshmen and Sophomores
Qualifications:
- Must be committed to being a full-time utility line student at Northeast
- Must show academic promise
- Any utility line student is eligible, regardless of location of permanent residence
- Must show financial need
Richard Cruise Memorial Scholarship
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in the Utility Line Program
- Must have a 2.0 GPA
- Must show financial need
Terry Reagan for Sophomores
Qualifications:
- Must be entering the Sophomore year in Utility Line Program
- Must show Financial need
Utility Line & Faculty for 2nd semester Freshmen and Sophomores
Qualifications:
- Must be regularly enrolled in the Utility Line program
- Must be a member of the Utility Line Club
- Must have a 3.0 GPA
- Must show financial need
W.I.R.E. (Women in Rural Electrification) for sophomores
Qualifications:
- Must be a Sophomore enrolled full time in the Utility Line Program
- Preference given to students planning to work in Nebraska and participate in rural electrification
