Adult Education for Freshmen and Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must have completed more than 12 hours of instruction in the Adult Education Program
  2. Preference given to students with higher G.E.D. scores
  3. Must show financial need

American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC)

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a current Northeast student enrolled at least half time
  2. Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0
  3. Must show financial need

Arlo and Anne Wirth for Freshmen and Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a graduate of Hartington Public, School District #8 of Cedar County, or Cedar Catholic High School of Hartington
  2. Financial need is considered

Art Robertson First Generation Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. First generation college student preference given to a minority students
  2. Must have a 2.0 GPA
  3. Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits
  4. Must show financial need

Avera St. Anthony's Hospital Scholarship for Freshmen and Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must be attending at least half time
  2. First consideration is given to employees, spouses of employees, or dependents of employees of Avera St. Anthony’s in O’Neill; Second consideration is to students from Holt County in Nebraska
  3. First preference is a health related field of study; Second preference is any field of study.
  4. Must show financial need
  5. Must have at least a cumulative GPA of 2.0

Azalea G. Gardner for Freshmen and Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a Nebraska resident
  2. Must be a single parent or a displaced homemaker (someone who has lost their main source of income due to being widowed, divorced, or spousal disability)
  3. Must be attending at least half time
  4. Must have a GPA of 2.0
  5. Must show financial need

BankFirst Endowment for Freshmen and Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must be enrolled and pursing a course of study full-time at Northeast
  2. Consideration shall be given to employees of BankFirst and their children
  3. Must show financial need

BankFirst/Duane Acklie Memorial Scholarship for Freshmen or Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. First preference is Professional Truck Driving Program
  2. Second preference is any program of study
  3. Must show financial need

Ben and Elda Powley Scholarship for Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a US resident
  2. Must be a Nebraska high school graduate
  3. Must show financial need
  4. Must be a Sophomore
  5. Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
  6. Must be enrolled in at least 6 Credits

Betsy Broekemeier Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a student athlete.
  2. Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  3. Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.

Bluejay Foundation/Wayne Gearhart Memorial for Freshmen

Qualifications:

  1. Must be graduating from Newman Grove High School
  2. Must have 2.5 GPA or higher
  3. Must show financial need

Chapter HU PEO Scholarship for Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a graduate from any high school in Norfolk, including Home School or GED
  2. Must be a sophomore in any program
  3. Must have a 2.5 GPA or higher.
  4. Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits.

Charles Wehrer Scholarship for Freshmen and Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must be attending at least half time
  2. Must show financial need
  3. Must have a 2.0 GPA or higher.

Classified Staff Association Scholarship for Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a resident of Northeast's 20-county service area
  2. Must be at Sophomore status (28 hours or above) attending at least half time
  3. Must have a GPA of 3.0

College Center Scholarship for Freshmen and Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must be attending classes at the South Sioux City Extended Campus
  2. Must show financial need

Community Wardrobe & Thrift Shop Inc. Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a resident of O'Neill or graduate of O'Neill Public School or St. Mary's Catholic School.
  2. Must be enrolled in at least six credit hours.
  3. Must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Connie Day Memorial for Freshmen and Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must be single parent living in the 20-county area
  2. Must be seeking a two-year associate degree
  3. Must be attending at least at half time status
  4. Must have a 2.0 GPA or higher
  5. Must show financial need

  1. Must have successfully completed at least one semester in a Northeast transfer course of study, which will ultimately lead to a bachelor's degree

Future Leaders Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Must be first generation American.
  2. Must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  3. Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits.

Gary Kuester Memorial Scholarship for Freshmen and Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must be enrolled full time
  2. Preference given to residents of Northeast's 20-county service area who desire to stay in the region after graduation
  3. Must maintain a 2.5 GPA
  4. Must show financial need

Hawks Athletic Scholarship for Freshmen or Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a member of an intercollegiate athletic team at Northeast
  2. Must be full time
  3. Must show financial need

Heartland Physical Therapy for Freshmen

Qualifications:

  1. Incoming Freshman who have graduated from one of the following high schools: Norfolk, Lutheran High Northeast, Battle Creek, Humphrey St. Francis, Elkhorn Valley, Newman Grove, Randolph, Osmond, or Plainview
  2. Must show financial need

Qualifications:

  1. Must have 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
  2. Must be degree-seeking

  1. Must be a resident of Northeast's 20-county service area and a U.S. citizen
  2. Must be enrolled at least half-time

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a Northeast Community College student in any regular course of study
  2. Must be maintaining a GPA of 2.0 or above

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a resident of Madison County
  2. Must be a entering the Sophomore year at Northeast Community College
  3. Must maintain a "C" average
  4. Must show financial need

Marathon Press Malawi Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Must be affiliated with Norfolk Schools in Malawi
  2. Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours
  3. Must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher

Marlow Family Memorial for 2nd semester Freshmen and Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a second semester Freshman or Sophomore earning a degree, certificate or diploma
  2. Must have a minimum GPA 2.5
  3. Must reside in Northeast's 20-county service area
  4. Consideration will be given to the recipient's volunteer community service
  5. Must show financial need

  1. Must be a regularly enrolled student

  3. Preference given to students who have received their G.E.D., completed the E.S.L. program, or are pursuing a degree in education

McIntosh/Davis Chambers Scholarship for Freshmen and Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must be an academically promising student that is active in school or community
  2. Must be enrolled full-time and plan to transfer to a 4-year public NE college or university
  3. Must be a graduate of a NE high school or have earned a G.E.D.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen and a NE resident
  5. Must submit the FAFSA and show financial need

Myles Dana Patton Memorial for Freshmen

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a Madison county resident who enrolls full-time at Northeast for the fall following graduation
  2. Academic standing and financial need are considered

National Auto Sales for Freshmen

Qualifications:

  1. Must be Nebraska residents of Platte, Colfax, or Madison County
  2. Must be of Hispanic heritage
  3. Must be a full time Freshman
  4. Must show financial need

Norfolk Noon Rotary for Freshmen and Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must reside in the Norfolk Noon Rotary Club service area
  2. Must be enrolled full-time
  3. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
  4. Must demonstrate significant community service in the community, school, or region
  5. Must show financial need

Norfolk Rotary Club/McIntosh Family Scholarship for Freshmen

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a spring graduate of Norfolk Public, Norfolk Catholic or Norfolk Lutheran High
  2. Preference given to students involved in The Zone program
  3. Must show financial need

Qualifications:

  1. Must be successfully pursuing a regular two-year program of study
  2. Must show financial need

Norfolk TeamMates for Freshmen and Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits
  2. Must have a 2.0 GPA or higher
  3. Must show financial need
  4. Must have completed the Norfolk Teammates program successfully.

Northeast Alumni Heritage for Freshmen and Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a resident of Northeast's 20-county service area
  2. Must have a direct relative graduate from Northeast
  3. Must show financial need

Northeast Distance Learning/Library Scholarship for Freshmen and Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Full or part-time students actively seeking a degree, diploma or certificate primarily through continuing education/distance learning courses
  2. Must have a 2.5 GPA
  3. Must be a resident of Northeast's 20-county service area
  4. Must show financial need

Northeast Foundation Excellence Scholarship for Freshmen

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a May graduate of a high school in Northeast's 20-county service area

Peter Kiewit Foundation Scholarship for Freshmen

Qualifications:

  1. Documented financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid; Financial need is not documented until all verification requirements are reviewed and validated
  2. Ability and desire to earn a certificate or degree
  3. Must have legal status to reside in the U.S. and a be a resident of Nebraska or Western Iowa
  4. Must have been admitted to attend Northeast and be enrolled three-quarter time in a vocational degree, diploma, or certificate program for an in-demand occupation that pays at or above median wage within the region, as determined by Northeast Community College
  5. Must have a high school GPA of 2.5 or higher and maintain a 2.5 cumulative college GPA or higher
  6. You must successfully meet the Northeast Community College Financial Aid Standards for Satisfactory Academic Progress

Phi Theta Kappa/Tau Chi Scholarship for Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a member of Phi Theta Kappa/Tau Chi Chapter
  2. Must have completed thirty (30) credit hours at Northeast Community College by the end of the spring term
  3. Must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours
  4. Must turn in essay with application
  5. Must have a 3.5 GPA or higher

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a freshman

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a graduating senior from Norfolk Public High School
  2. Must be a regularly enrolled student
  3. Must show financial need and be worthy and deserving

Roger L. Shaffer Memorial for Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must be successfully completing the freshman year in any regular course of study at Northeast and be committed to completing the sophomore year to attain an associate degree
  2. Must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  3. Must show financial need

Ronald & Carol Krutsinger Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a second year student.

Roots & Wings for Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must be at a Sophomore level
  2. Must be an international or foreign student with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  3. Must demonstrate leadership interest by serving on the Northeast Student Government Association, Student Activities Council as a Multicultural Club officer, a Student Ambassador, a Resident Assistant, or through strong participation in multiple Northeast organizations and events
  4. Must show financial need, as determined by the International Student Advisor, or the FAFSA, if available

Qualifications:

  1. First preference for students that are residents of Knox County.
  2. Second preference for student that are residents of the Northeast Community College 20-county service area.
  3. Preference given to students that are members of the Northeast Dance or Cheerleading Squads.

  5. Must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher

Security National Bank for Freshmen and Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must be degree seeking
  2. First preference given to students from Coleridge, Allen, Hartington, Laurel, or Osmond/Second preference given to students from Dixon, Cedar, Knox, Antelope, or Pierce Counties

Student Excellence Scholarship for Sophomores

Qualifications:

  1. Must have completed thirty (30) credit hours at Northeast Community College by the end of the spring term and be enrolled full-time in a declared Northeast program of study
  2. Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher (a progress report for the current semester will be required of finalists)

Qualifications:

  1. Must be enrolled in a nursing program of study or a vocational program of study
  2. Must have a GPA of 2.5
