CDL Passenger Endorsement

Drivers who wish to drive a vehicle having a design capacity to carry 16 or more people, including the driver, must have a passenger endorsement. This course will provide the knowledge and skills necessary to safely operate commercial passenger vehicles. This course meets the requirement for the Passenger ELDT.

CDL School Bus Passenger Endorsement

Drivers who wish to drive a School Bus having a design capacity to carry 16 or more people, including the driver, must have a school bus endorsement. This course will provide the knowledge and skills necessary to safely operate a school bus. This course meets the requirements for the School Bus ELDT.

CDL Training-Basic CDL Class Theory and Lab

Northeast Community College is offering a CDL training course in your area! Instruction will include everything the student will need to know to pass the license exam, pre-trip inspection, practical driving test and is ELDT (Entry Level Driver Training) compliant. Sixteen hours will be spent in the classroom. Students will need to get their CLP (Commercial Learner’s Permit) either before the theory portion or just after the theory portion of the class, but at least 14 days before the lab portion of the class. You will also need to get a DOT drug screen after you have acquired your CLP and bring the results with you when you attend the lab portion of the class. The driving, vehicle inspection, and testing portion of the course will be completed in Norfolk or South Sioux City. The final drive test fee is included in the course. Financial Assistance is available through the Community College Gap Assistance Program for students meeting income guidelines, contact Amy Kaiser at 402.844.7245. Requirements: Students must be 18 years of age and have a valid Nebraska driver’s license to take this course (21 years of age if the student has a valid driver’s license from another state). Students are also cautioned that the physical requirements for a Class A Commercial Driver License (required for truck-tractor operators) must be consistent with the standards of the United States Department of Transportation. Tuition does not include cost of license, clearing house fee, DOT drug screen, and learner’s permit (no K restriction for out-of-state residence). CDL Training-Class A/B

Northeast Community College is offering a Class A/B CDL training course in your area! CDL Training-Class B

Northeast Community College is offering a Class B CDL training course. The Class B CDL training program prepares the entry level students for the safe operation of Class B commercial vehicles. Students will receive instruction in basic operations, safe operating procedures, advanced operating practices, vehicle systems, and reporting, and non-driving activities such as trip planning, environmental compliance, cargo handling, hours of service and more. Hands-on training includes both range and public road training in a Class B commercial vehicle including vehicle inspection, backing, shifting, speed and space management, and other critical driving skills. Not included in the cost of the course are the cost of DOT drug screen, and learner’s permit (no K restriction for out-of-state residence). Students must have their learner’s permit 14 days prior to the first day of lab, and DOT drug screen within 30 days prior to the start of class and after the learner’s permit has been obtained. The final drive test fee is included in the course. Financial Assistance is available through the Community College Gap Assistance Program for students meeting income guidelines.
