Northeast Young Musicians Competition
2022 Dates Will Be Posted Soon
Nebraska high school students are invited to enter the Northeast Young Musicians Competition by submitting video recordings for a vocal or an instrumental piece by March 6th.
Certificates and prizes will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place in each grade level per category. First place winners will be featured during the virtual awards program.
Two $1,000 scholarships to Northeast Community College will be awarded to seniors. All students will receive a free t-shirt.
Contest Rules
- Video submissions are required *
- Six-minute maximum time limit for solos
- No pop music
- Accompaniment for songs that call for it
- Vocal solos must be memorized
- A PDF of the solo music must accompany the video *
- Appropriate dress for a contest performance
- Entries are due no later than March 6, 2021
- Results will be posted on March 18th after our live-stream awards at 1:00 p.m.
* Submission uploads will be collected via Google Forms. You will need to sign in with a Google account to complete the submission.
