Northeast Community College’s Precision Agriculture, Associate of Applied Science program combines cutting-edge technology with time-tested agricultural practices to prepare students for the future of farming. This program equips students with the skills to collect, analyze, and apply data to improve efficiency, productivity, and sustainability in agricultural operations. From GPS and GIS systems to drones, sensors, and automated equipment, students gain hands-on experience with the tools shaping today’s ag industry. The Precision Agriculture program provides a strong foundation for a high-tech career in modern agriculture.

Why Students Choose This Program

Northeast’s Precision Agriculture program is recognized as a leader in the field. The curriculum emphasizes the use of agricultural software, data systems, and emerging technologies—preparing students to make data-driven decisions in real-world settings.

Small class sizes in the Precision Agriculture program give students meaningful access to experienced instructors who understand both the science and strategy behind today’s ag technology. Faculty bring a blend of field experience and tech-savvy insight, helping students connect software, data, and decision-making in ways that make sense for modern farm operations. With more one-on-one interaction, students benefit from personalized guidance, ongoing mentorship, and connections that extend well beyond graduation—supporting both their academic growth and long-term career goals.

Precision Agriculture students at Northeast Community College gain access to industry-relevant facilities that support learning in data-driven crop management and ag technology. From up-to-date computer labs and precision ag tools to the Pohlman Ag Complex and the 500-acre Acklie Family College Farm, students are immersed in an environment built for applied learning. These facilities provide the space and resources to explore real-world applications of software, sensors, and systems used in modern agriculture—preparing students to step confidently into a rapidly evolving industry.
