- Friday: Becoming a Hawk is an exciting journey!
Day 1 of the program will provide you with opportunities to expand your mind and your Northeast network.
8:30 am - 9:00 am: Check In/Welcome (Cox Center Gym)
9:05 am - 9:50 am: Student Success Presentation (Various Campus Locations)
9:55 am - 10:10 am: Class Photo (Union 73)
10:15 am - 11:00 am: Faculty Presentation (Various Campus Locations)
11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Lunch/North Fork Area Transit (Dining Hall)
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Getting To Know You (Various Campus Locations)
2:00 pm - 3:30 pm: Playfair/T-Shirt Pick Up (Hawks Village Green Space)
3:30 pm - 5:00 pm: College Business/North Fork Area Transit (Various Campus Locations) - Saturday: It's time for Hawk Fest!
Day 2 of the program will provide you with fun-filled experiences to interact with your new friends beyond the classroom.
11:00 am - 1:00 pm: New Student Luau (Hawks Village Green Space)
12:00 pm - 4:00 pm: New Student Competition (Hawks Village Green Space) - Sunday: Hawks support one another!
Day 3 of the program will provide you with a place that encourages you to be your best self.
11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Lunch (Union 73)
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Soaring Sunday (Union 73)
Frequently Asked Questions
The Financial Aid, Admissions & Registration, Student Accounts, and the Hawk Shop bookstore will be open all summer. While you can reach all offices via phone and email you are also able to come to campus to finalize any unfinished business you have.
Yes, bring the Orientation Invitation that was mailed to you. Orientation is a personalized event, and your agenda is on that postcard. You will also need to know your Student ID #.
Your Student ID is ready to pick up at the College Welcome Center on the Norfolk Campus Monday – Friday between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. We will need to take your photo before issuing your ID.
No, this event is for our new students only.
Yes, the information provided in the class is different than what will be shared at Orientation. It is important to complete the course in Canvas and attend Orientation.
