    GOTHENBURG, NE - An internship Zach Kolbo completed through Northeast Community College will give him an edge on his future. Combining computer imagery with hands-on work in the field, Kolbo’s internship has provided him with valuable work experience.

    Northeast observes Patriot Day with a day of service

    Over 200 students attend part-time job fair

    NORFOLK, NE – Northeast Community College students interested in part-time employment had the opportunity to visit with potential employers recently. Northeast’s Career Service Office hosted its annual Part-Time Job Fair in the Lifelong Learning Center on the Northeast campus in Norfolk.

    Record number of students enroll in Fridays @ Northeast

At the beginning of the current academic year, over 100 high school seniors are taking part in the program.

    Malawi educators get firsthand experience of Northeast

Their time this summer in the United States allowed them to gain a better perspective on how to prepare their pupils for the rigors of college now that many of their graduates are attending Northeast Community College.

    Acklie Charitable Foundation contribues $5 million to Nexus campaign

From selling produce his family grew at his favorite corner on U.S. Highway 81 at the age of 10 to establishing one of America’s largest privately-owned trucking companies with his wife, Phyllis, he understood the importance and the role of education as the couple established a foundation that bears their last name. Now, the Acklie Charitable Foundation (ACF) is supporting a major initiative at Northeast Community College that will its ensure agriculture students have opportunities to succeed in their education as they train to become future employees in Nebraska’s number one industry.

    Ag & Water campaign launches; $5 million lead gift announced

    NORFOLK, NE – In an industry that is critical to not only Nebraska and the nation, but across the entire world, the agriculture department at Northeast Community College is at the forefront of developing future farmer-scientists. The institution has been recognized for its work in the area over the years and presently awards the eighth highest number of associate degrees in agriculture in the country. On Thursday, college officials launched a major initiative that will ensure agriculture students are succeeding in their education to develop the skills to become productive members of the workforce and the communities they serve.

    Shaffer named adviser of the year by Nebraska PBL

    KEARNEY, NE – An instructor at Northeast Community College has been recognized by her peers across the state. Business Instructor Angela Shaffer has been named Adviser of the Year by the Nebraska Chapter of Phi Beta Lambda (PBL).

    Northeast to host part-time job fair August 27

    Northeast ag student’s internship integral to Howells business

    HOWELLS, NE - Dakota Chapman was a high school student when she began job shadowing at North Bend’s Frontier Co-op, learning about everything the business had to offer, from grain, fuel and feed to marketing, safety and agronomy. It was a good fit for Chapman. After all, ag is in her blood.
