    Northeast’s ag programs serve critical need in training a future workforce

    NORFOLK, NE – The role Nebraska agriculture plays in the global economy goes without saying. The state leads the nation in beef and beef product exports, commercial red meat production and popcorn production; second in all cattle and calves and hay production; and third in corn for grain production, corn exports and cash receipts from all livestock. There are several additional categories that put Nebraska fifth in overall agriculture production in the United States; the very reason why Northeast Community College places a heavy emphasis on the industry.

    Northeast announces holiday, In-service schedule; spring registration continues

    Local Pinnacle banks support Nexus project

    NORFOLK, NE - Seven Pinnacle Bank branches in northeast Nebraska have come together to support Northeast Community College’s Nexus project. Pinnacle Bank in O’Neill, Verdigre, Neligh, Madison, Humphrey, Wisner, and Valentine have pledged $250,000 to the project to replace 100-year-old ag facilities on the college farm.

    Record number of students will travel internationally with Northeast in 2020

    NORFOLK, NE - Students at Northeast Community College will be taking advantage of educational travel opportunities in record numbers this upcoming semester. A total of 57 students will be traveling to one of three locations in spring 2020: the United Kingdom, Puerto Rico, and Ireland.

    Literature and cinematic film course mirrors the human experience

While many adaptations have been successful - whether they have received critical acclaim or have done well at the box office or in syndication - not everyone likes the concept. Two of the students enrolled in a particular course at Northeast Community College this semester are among those with differing views.
