Creepy Crawlies, Ghosts, Goblins and Others Invited to Fun Event

NORFOLK, Neb. -- The 21st annual Spooktacular children’s carnival will be held Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., at the Northeast Community College Chuck M. Pohlman Agriculture Complex.

The event has hosted over 2,000 people in previous years. The complex is located one mile east of campus near the intersection of Highway 35 and Benjamin Avenue.

Spooktacular is sponsored by the Northeast Community College Student Activities Council and Student Leadership Association. Student clubs will host booths with several games, as well as prizes, candy and other activities to entertain children.

Admission is free, but games will require tickets, which can be purchased at the price of four for $1 before entering the carnival. All proceeds will go to student organizations.

Booths and activities will include several games such as spider toss, Frisbee toss, duck pond, spin the wheel, price punch, build your own pumpkin, among many others. There will also be a children’s haunted house.

A Northeast agriculture club will sell hot dogs and drinks in the concession stand at the Ag Complex. Tickets can be used for concessions.

The public is invited to enjoy this family friendly event at Northeast Community College. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to Spooktacular, but they are not required.

For more information on the Northeast Community College Spooktacular, contact Lori Trowbridge, executive director of College Engagement, at 402-844-7733.
