Employees Encouraged to Pop In for a Snack and Talk

NORFOLK, Neb. -- The first Northeast Community College Popcorn & Convos of the school year took place on Thursday afternoon in the Union 73 lobby.

Popcorn & Convos are a combined effort between President Leah Barrett and Charlene Widener, vice president of Educational Services, who both scheduled regular open houses previously.

These open houses serve as a time when employees can stop by for popcorn or a light snack, say hello and talk to colleagues. This open-door communication for employees to share perspectives also enables the president and vice president to get to know employees better and listen to ideas.

Besides Widener, several vice presidents and deans also attended Thursday and will be attending them in the future.
