NORFOLK, Neb. – Northeast Community College students got a chance this week to show their school pride and have a little fun.
The college celebrated Spirit Week, a time for the student body, faculty and staff to deepen relationships by participating in a suggested daily activity.
Thursday, Aug. 29, for example, was Color Wars. Depending on the major, students were encouraged to wear certain colors, like agriculture majors wore green and communications majors wore pink. All the major colors were represented.
On Wednesday, Aug. 28, students were encouraged to wear the colors of traffic lights for a stop light dance. Red meant the students were taken, yellow meant to proceed with caution and green meant they were ready to mingle with consent.
Students were encouraged to dress like their favorite instructor on Tuesday, Aug. 27, while Monday, Aug. 26, was Movie Night where students were invited to wear their pajamas to the theater.
Tuesday evening also featured “A Shot of Reality,” which was billed as an evening of “Alcohol Awareness with a Comedy Chaser.”
