‘Let’s sing a chorus or two’ at Northeast holiday concert

NORFOLK, Neb. – Tis the season – to listen to holiday music and maybe even sing along – during a festive concert.

Northeast Nebraskans are invited to do just that during the annual Holiday Concert. It will take place on Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Lifelong Learning Center at 2 p.m., with the Concert Choir, Community/College Concert Band and the band and choir combined, all scheduled to perform. The event is free and open to the public.

The choir performances will feature some with only a women’s ensemble or a men’s ensemble, as well as combined. They will cover songs ranging from such classics as “O Come All Ye Faithful” to “On the Faces of the World.” The vocal director is Margaret Schultz, with accompanist William Miller.
The band will perform such fun numbers as “Sleigh Ride” and “La Fiesta Mexicana.” There also will be a band and choir combined sing-a-long. Kevin McLouth is the instrumental director.
