PATCH Health Fair returns to Northeast

NORFOLK, Neb. -- Northeast Community College again hosted the PATCH (Planned Approach to Community Health) Health Fair last Friday and Saturday, Sept. 22-23, at the Cox Activities Center.

Among the exhibits, Northeast provided demonstrations of an automated CPR machine. The LUCAS machine, which was set on a mannequin, has twice the success rate of human CPR. It can provide both chest compressions or breathing assistance or just one action.

The health fair exhibitors provided information on everything from healthy lifestyles to blood screenings. Most of the services were free, with a few at greatly reduced costs.
