Forty-five Northeast student-athletes earn NJCAA All-Academic honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Forty-five Northeast Community College student-athletes were named to one of the All-Academic teams of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) for their work in the classroom over the last season.

Student-athletes are eligible to earn the honor by achieving an overall GPA of 3.60 or higher for the 2022-23 academic year. Eleven student-athletes were named to the first team (4.0 GPA), 12 were named to the second team (3.80-3.99 GPA) and 22 were named to the third team (3.60-3.79 GPA). 

In addition, seven athletic programs at Northeast were named a 2022-23 NJCAA Academic Team of the Year. The volleyball (3.48 GPA), women’s soccer (3.44 GPA), women’s basketball (3.43 GPA), men’s golf (3.33 GPA), baseball (3.29 GPA), softball (3.27 GPA) and men’s soccer (3.17 GPA) programs all received the honor.

Baseball

Second Team: Kaden Young, Columbus

Basketball (Men)
