Early childhood education to host free event for families with small children

NORFOLK, Neb. – Northeast Community College Early Childhood Education and Power of Preschool will host an event this month designed for families with small children. Springtacular will be held Thur., April 20, from 5-7 p.m., at the College’s Chuck M. Pohlman Agriculture Complex, 2301 E. Benjamin Ave. - one mile east of the main campus.

A meal, games, and educational displays will be held featured during the event gear toward families with children aged birth to five-years. 

“The public along with Northeast Community College students with their own children, staff, and faculty with children birth to age five are invited,” said Lisa Guenther, early childhood education instructor. “Come enjoy a free meal and a night of fun to learn about everything early childhood.”

Area organizations and businesses will host booths with a number of games, prizes, along with bounce houses for the children. Educational information for parents will also be available with a free meal open to everyone. 

Other sponsors of Springtacular are Norfolk Public Schools, Early Development Network and Sixpence.

Admission to the event is free.
