FAFSA completion day to be held at Northeast in O'Neill Oct. 19

O’NEILL, Neb. – College-bound students and their parents intimidated by the financial aid process are encouraged to sign up for personalized assistance during a Federal Application for Federal Student Aid® (FAFSA) Completion Day sponsored by Northeast Community College.

Staff from Northeast’s financial aid office will offer personalized assistance in filling out the FAFSA on Wed., Oct. 19, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at the O’Neill Extended Campus, 505 East Highway 20.

The FAFSA form allows students to request federal grants, work-study, and loans, through one application. Students should apply early to maximize aid opportunities.

Students who attend will need to bring a 2021 federal tax return – IRS 1040 and any schedules for both parent and student, 2021 IRS W-2 for both parent and student, 2021 child support paid or received amounts, record of untaxed income such as interest income, and veteran noneducation benefits, and information on cash, savings and checking account balances, and investment account.

There is no cost to attend the session and there is no obligation to register with Northeast Community College for anyone who participates.

Students and their parents planning to attend the session in O’Neill may schedule an appointment by calling (402) 336-3590.
