SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. – The Financial Aid Office at Northeast Community College will sponsor a session next week at its extended campus in South Sioux City to offer college-bound students and their parents one-on-one assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid® (FAFSA) application.
Staff from Northeast’s financial aid office will offer personalized assistance in filling out the FAFSA on Tue., Oct. 11, from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m., in the Northeast Community College Extended Campus, 1001 College Way, in South Sioux City.
The FAFSA form allows students to request federal grants, work-study, and loans, through one application. Students should apply early to maximize aid opportunities.
Students who attend will need to bring a 2021 federal tax return – IRS 1040 and any schedules for both parent and student, 2021 IRS W-2 for both parent and student, 2021 child support paid or received amounts, record of untaxed income such as interest income, and veteran noneducation benefits, and information on cash, savings and checking account balances, and investment account.
There is no cost to attend the session and no appointment is necessary. There is no obligation to register with Northeast Community College for anyone who participates.
