Time for Breakfast!

Time for Breakfast!

NORFOLK, Neb. - Faye Kilday, executive director of Teaching and Learning (left) and Lai-Montè Hunter, dean of Students at Northeast Community College, were among administrators making pancakes for students, faculty and staff during the college’s Spring Semester Welcome Back Breakfast earlier this week in Northeast’s Hawk Point.

In addition to pancakes, administrators served sausage and other breakfast items to those who attended.

“We had about 500 people over a two-and-half hour period for the Welcome Back Breakfast,” said Shawn Lynn, director of Dining Services for Chartwells, Northeast's food service provider. "It was a great way to kick off the Spring semester! Also, being new on campus, it was great to be able to meet everyone."

In addition, Student Activities provided "Wacky Wednesday" t-shirts to the first 65 students. They also had students take a selfie with a staff or faculty member during the breakfast and then send it to them through Snapchat to enter to win one of two Keurig coffee makers or one of four tumbler cups.
