Northeast celebrates the season with the lighting of a holiday tree

NORFOLK, Neb. – The spirit of the season is shining brightly on the campus of Northeast Community College. Students, faculty and staff joined Leah Barrett, president, as the switch was flipped to light Northeast’s Holiday Tree recently.

The ten-foot “pine” is located along a pedestrian walkway on the Norfolk campus. It sits under a common-area shelter in the middle of the walkway, which is used heavily throughout the day.

Members of the Northeast Concert Choir, under the direction of Caleb Nihira, adjunct music instructor, also performed. The group was joined by Margaret Schultz, music instructor.
