NORFOLK, Neb. - Northeast Community College instrumental music and vocal groups will open their 2021-22 season with a fall concert. The concert will be held Sun., Oct. 31, at 2 p.m., in the Lifelong learning Center on the Norfolk campus, 601 E. Benjamin Ave. It will feature selections by the Northeast College/Community Concert Band, percussion ensemble.
With Kevin McLouth, instrumental music instructor/director of instrumental activities, as director, the Northeast College/Community Concert Band will perform Carmina Burana, by Orff and arranged by Jay Bocook; A Festival Prelude by Alfred Reed; Elegy for a Young American by Ronald Lo Presti; and Amparito Roca by Jaime Texidor and arranged by Aubrey Winte. In addition, the percussion ensemble will perform A Few Good Men by Chris Brooks.
