O'Neill Health Conference focuses on pandemic-related issues

O'NEILL, Neb. - Lisa Mlnarik, nurse practitioner at Faith Regional Health Services, speaks on congestive heart failure and how COVID-19 may affect heart failure in the opening session of the annual O’Neill Health Conference at the O’Neill Community Center recently.

It was one of several sessions related to the Coronavirus pandemic that was held during the event sponsored by Northeast Community College in O’Neill. Other topics focused on lung health, COVID-19 vaccines, suicide prevention, and post COVID-19 mental health disorders emerging from the pandemic. Healthcare professionals from across north central Nebraska who attended earned six contact hours through the Midwest Multistate Division. The division is accredited as an approver of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
