NORFOLK, Neb. – Employers who are looking to fill part-time employment positions can look no further than Northeast Community College.
The College’s Career Services Office will host its annual Part-Time Job Fair in September. Typically, the event is held in person in a single afternoon in the Lifelong Learning Center on the Northeast campus in Norfolk; however, this year, it will be held online over several days in September.
“As many of our students will be learning remotely through online classes this fall, they will also be looking for part-time employment during the 2020-21 academic year,” said Terri Heggemeyer, director of career services at Northeast. “Area employers will be invited to post positions on our job board and find a student to fill their staffing needs. We post job vacancies for part-time, full-time, and internship opportunities.”
There is no charge to employers to post their positions on the Northeast Job Board. All part-time positions will be featured during the online event and students will be able to contact employers to apply for open positions.
Employers are encouraged to register for the event by August 31 at northeast.edu/career-services/job-board/add. Students may search the Job Board at northeast.edu/job-fair between September 1-14.
Heggemeyer said the goal of the online Part-time Job Fair is to bring together employers and Northeast students to assist businesses in meeting their needs and positively impact the local economy.
“Whether this pandemic has disrupted business or changed their priorities and goals, Northeast Community College is here to support our area businesses in meeting their part-time employee needs.”
