Northeast launches new website

NORFOLK, Neb. – Northeast Community College has launched a new mobile responsive and engaging website that will better serve the college, future students, and the communities across northeast and northcentral Nebraska.

The site at northeast.edu went live on Saturday, July 18.

The website includes a new design and branded look, main navigation changes with an added mega menu, a mobile friendly design, and updates to the website technology stack to position Northeast for future website needs.

The site includes responsive videos and new search capabilities for academic programs, programs organized by career fields, links to the student experience, information on financial aid, business and community, including adult education and continuation education, and parent resources. In addition, it features links for alumni and to the college’s Foundation office, as well as and college news and events, accreditation, leadership, employment opportunities and location information under the About Us section.

Approximately 50 staff and faculty members on the Northeast project team who represented their departments, provided their expertise on new contributions to the website. The work on the project, led by the college’s information technology and marketing departments, featured several stakeholder meetings that included input from across the college community. This input was incorporated across the entire website.

The project team was led by Curtis Scheer, director of web and enterprises services, and Jennifer Greve, executive director of marketing and recruitment. Team members included David Cone, application developer, Jennifer Gleason, application developer, Crystal Hollmann, director of marketing, Tara Schilling, marketing coordinator, and Brian Headlee, graphic designer.

“This work has resulted in a clean, modern-looking, website that will better serve our customers through enhanced navigation and new program search capabilities,” said John Blaylock, executive vice president. “The redesign team spent a considerable amount of time working and developing a website with our students and constituents in mind. It focuses on the strengths of Northeast Community College and reflects everything the institution has to offer. We are proud of the new design.”
