Northeast athletics department earns national recognition

ORLANDO, FL - The Northeast Community College Athletic Department received its first CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) award, it was announced by the organization on Monday.

Under the direction of Jerrett Mills, associate dean of student life and athletics, and Crystal Hollman, director of marketing, the athletic and marketing departments brought home a 10th-place finish in the Fall/Winter/Spring Posters – College Division. The voting and selection process took place at the 2019 CoSIDA Convention in Orlando, FL.

CoSIDA was founded in 1957 and is a 3,000+ member national organization comprised of the sports public relations, media relations and communications/information professionals throughout all level of collegiate athletics in the United States and Canada. The organization, which celebrated its 60th year during the 2016-17 academic year, is the second oldest management association in all intercollegiate athletics.
