Hawks baseball 2-0 against St. Clair County & McCook

MCCOOK, NE – The Northeast Community College baseball team won a doubleheader Wednesday here.

In the first game of the day, Northeast defeated St. Clair County (MI) Community College 6-4. The Hawks’ Bryce Walker went 2-2 and scored two runs while Colin King was 2-3 and scored a run. Tanner Hunt hit 2-4 scoring a run and also recorded two RBIs.

Cale Hlavac picked up the win for the Hawks while Blake Radke earned the save.

In the day’s second game, the Hawks defeated McCook Community College 5-4, with Lane Koetter (2-0) getting the win and Brennen Bales had the save. The Hawks scored a tie breaking run in the seventh inning.

Christian Dumont and Kaden Hendrix both went 2-3 with one RBI each. Caleb Hartmann hit 1-2 with a RBI.

Northeast (6-7) will be in action Friday and Saturday in Beatrice when it faces Southeast Community College in doubleheaders both days.
