Women in male-dominated careers to be focus of lecture at Northeast in South Sioux City

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, NE - The Visiting Lecture Series at the Northeast Community College South Sioux City extended campus will continue later this month with a new speaker and topic. Pam Miller will speak about women who are tackling roles in career fields that are historically dominated by men.

The lecture will be held Friday, March 16, from 1-2:30 p.m. in Room 126 of the South Sioux City extended campus, 1001 College Way. The event is free and open to the public.

Miller is the director of industry and investor relations at Siouxland Ethanol, LLC.

The new Visiting Lectures Series is part of TGIF (Trending Topics, Great Gatherings, Insightful Information, Friday Fun) at Northeast’s South Sioux City extended campus. It is designed for the general public and will host other speakers from diverse backgrounds throughout the spring semester.

Other speakers scheduled for the Visiting Lectures Series will include Erica DeLeon, director of One Siouxland, on the economic, civic and cultural aspects of the Hispanic population in Siouxland; and Jake Rains, drone pilot and photographer, on the future of drones in various industries.
