Degrees and Programs
The mathematics curriculum is designed to provide you with a sound working base in mathematics, develop your ability to apply mathematical symbolism, enhance your problem solving and critical thinking skills, increase your ability to think abstractly, increase your ability to work independently on mathematics, and create a positive outlook toward mathematics.
Northeast’s mathematics courses provide the necessary foundation for vocational programs and the requirements for the two-year liberal arts programs and pre-professional programs. They also provide preparation for mathematics concentrations who plan to transfer to a four-year institution.
A math background can open the doors to many different careers. Careers that require strong math skills are typically in high demand. Career options could include statistician, economist, research analyst or actuarial analyst.
Salaries will vary based on the type of career and location.
