Child Development Apprentice - Norfolk

Job Description:

The apprenticeship program provides opportunities for employees to learn and grow as new professionals in childcare. This includes some classes with Northeast Community College, alongside on-the-job training and mentorship. Apprentices will train for approximately 1 year with opportunities to advance in a long-term rewarding career. Apprentices may receive assistance through the TEACH Scholarship program to support apprenticeship classes and training. To succeed in this position you will need: -A genuine interest in working with children -A positive friendly attitude -The ability to work on a team -The ability to form warm, responsive relationships with children -High level verbal and written communication skills -Initiative and capacity to work under minimal supervision -Be able to complete first aide and cpr training in the first 30 days (center paid)
