The apprenticeship program provides an opportunity for employees to learn and grow as new professionals. Apprentices will take some classes through Northeast Community College, alongside on-the-job training and mentorship. Since 1955, Lindsay Corporation has been at the forefront of research and development of products and services designed to meet the needs of a constantly evolving world. -Starting wage is $19.00 -Tuition Reimbursement (If the apprentice leaves before 2 years of employment, they will be expected to pay Lindsay back.) Job Duties -Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. -Maintain safety -Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications -Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures -Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (MIG, MMA etc.) -Experience in using electrical or manual tools (tape measures, saws, squares, calipers etc.) -Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings -Must be able to lift up to 50lbs -Understands and processes work orders properly Apprentice Work Schedule: -Mon-Fri 2nd shift 5pm to 9pm (20 hours) *During Holiday Breaks from school and summertime the apprentice may work fulltime hours. Advancement -Apprentices who complete required classroom training are eligible to receive an incremental hourly raise commensurate with skill gains. -Promotion opportunities and full-time employment upon successful apprenticeship completion. -Continued growth and learning including professional development opportunities.
