Job Description:

Purpose: As an Applicator at Central Valley Ag, you will be responsible for the application of agronomy products and to perform needed maintenance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: -Load, handle, and apply dry and liquid fertilizer, lime, and crop protection products. -Understand and safely operate the application equipment assigned. -Utilize the information supplied and the technology in the application equipment to ensure that the right products at the right rates are applied and billed to the right fields and customers. -Assist in the mixing, loading, unloading and transporting of crop protection and fertilizer products. -Assist with inventory management. -Works with supervisor and co-workers to keep errors to a minimum. -Provide excellent customer service. -Consistently follows all laws, regulations, and safety rules (including PPE) in handling and applying products and storing chemicals. -Assist with the maintenance of equipment and plant. -Maintain positive communication with the supervisor and grower as needed. -Assist with scouting, product transportation and various services for producers. -Properly completes necessary paperwork and records. -Assist with other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

-High School or GED diploma. -Must be licensed and insurable to drive. -Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL with tanker and HazMat endorsements. -Must have or be able to obtain a Commercial Applicator’s License. -Knowledge of DOT or DOT experience preferred. -Ability to communicate in a professional manner and establish effective working relationships with internal operations and external customers. -Great basic mechanical skills. -Works in a way that demonstrates safety is a priority. Promotes a work environment that is safe for everyone. -We value the highest ethical standard-our word is our bond. -Can plan, prioritize, organize and manage resources in order to accomplish jobs within the defined timetable. -Must be a self-starter. -Must have good computer skills. -Ability to multi-task several assignments simultaneously and establish job priorities. -Works well with others to achieve a common goal.
