Job Description:

Wayne State College is seeking an IT Technician (Developer). Work in a collaborative environment with a team of IT professionals, contributing your experience and expertise to accomplish the strategic IT goals of Wayne State College. Performs a variety of professional duties in support of the day-to-day operations of the Network and Technology Services (NATS) department. Provides tier 2 troubleshooting of related technologies for incidents not resolved during first point of contact at the tier 1 Service Center. Assist with the development of solutions for business process improvement within the student information system (SIS), cloud computing environments (Amazon Web Services – AWS, M365), website content management system, and other integrated systems as needed. Develop web based solutions and improvements for the SIS student and faculty dashboards. Work with web content managers to develop custom developments for the college website. Examples of Work Performed: 1. Serve as the portal administrator for the SIS, manage student/faculty dashboards within the SIS, and develop dashboard functionality as needed by functional areas. Attending dashboard meetings with the NeSIS team as needed. 2. Work with content managers to create custom developments for the college website as required. 3. Assist fellow IT staff with the development of solutions in various platforms, including the SIS, cloud computing environments (AWS, M365), the website content management system, and other integrated systems as needed. 4. Collaborate with supervisor, CIO, and NATS team members to coordinate and document primary and secondary responsibilities for software, hardware, process, activity, or other support requirements necessary to maintain availability of services to the campus community according to the IT Business Continuity plan. 5. Mentor NATS student workers for completion of lower-level tasks that are repeatable, documented, and auditable. 6. Collaborate with Client Services team, Service Center, and campus stakeholders to improve incident, problem, and request management processes. 7. Provide training and support to WSC faculty and staff as needed. 8. Engage IT leadership to communicate status and manage priorities regarding work assignments. 9. Participate in change control processes and meetings. 10. Other duties as assigned that are pertinent to the goals and mission of the IT department and the college. Job Requirements

Required Qualifications: - Associate Degree in related field or two year’s related work experience. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in related field.
