Reports to: Mandi Thompson Hours per week: Non-Exempt, Hourly A. General Summary of the Position: We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead our HR department and contribute to the overall success of our organization. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills, capable of managing diverse HR functions. As the HR Manager, you will oversee recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance, ensuring that our organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent. B. Essential Functions: 1. **Employee Relations: ** - Manage employee relations by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive workplace culture. - Conduct investigations when necessary and recommend appropriate corrective actions. 2. **Performance Management: ** - Implement and oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and performance reviews. - Work with managers to identify training and development needs for employees. 3. **Compliance and Policies: ** - Stay informed about employment laws and regulations, ensuring the organization's compliance. - Develop and update HR policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and best practices. 4. **Benefits Administration: ** - Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. - Provide guidance to employees regarding benefits and resolve related inquiries. 5. **Training and Development: ** - Coordinate training initiatives to enhance employee skills and promote professional growth. - Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and opportunities. 6. **HR Strategy: ** - Contribute to the development of HR strategies aligned with organizational goals. - Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team on HR-related matters. 7. **Workers Compensation: ** - Manage claims and assist employees with workers’ compensation. 8. **Recruitment and Staffing: ** - Lead the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding. - Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates. C. Education, Training and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification is a plus. - Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a similar HR role. - In-depth knowledge of HR functions, employment laws, and best practices. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. - Proficient in HRIS and MS Office applications.
