Equipment Operator - Broken Bow, NE

Job Description:

This person will be responsible for: Operating various equipment, such as loaders, articulated dump trucks, side dumps, manure spreaders, and tractors in a safe manner. Loading manure and spreading it accordingly throughout the designated fields. Monitoring and managing pond effluent pumps, including removal of sludge. Mowing and spraying for vegetation control around the feedlot. Assisting in the transportation of silage, manure, and other products as needed. Performing basic preventative maintenance and upkeep on all equipment, including greasing, oil changes, and general washing. Supports the farming team during critical activities such as planting, fertilizing, irrigation, and harvest support. Assisting in additional farming projects as needed. Ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications: Working knowledge of tractors and diesel equipment. Individual must have knowledge with hydraulics and a mechanical aptitude. Previous feedlot and farming experience is beneficial. Knowledge of operating tractor, mower, and sprayer. Individual must be team-oriented. Commitment to safety and quality culture.

Job Requirements

This position requires: A valid driver’s license Exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, 25-50 pounds of force frequently and 10-20 pounds of force constantly. Standing, sitting, walking, carrying, and lifting/lowering frequently; pushing/pulling, bending, twisting, climbing, reaching/handling/grasping, and kneeling/crouching occasionally; crawling and stairs rarely. Individual must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
