EOE Non-Profit Agency JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for design, operation and control of administrative procedures related to accounting, payroll, property control and procurement. Maintain corporate, fiscal, and property documents and records in accordance with written policies and procedures, audit, and funding source standards. Maintain general ledger to include, but not limited to, preparation of journal entries, account analysis and reconciliation, monthly closing of books and setting up new accounts. Abide by Office of Management & Budget regulations. Verify all deposits. Address questions from banking institutions. Monitor grant receivables from federal, state, and local sources. Assist outside auditors at year-end to include, but not limited to, preparing schedules, providing explanation of supporting materials, and preparing other necessary and required data. Complete accounts payable duties to include, but not limited to, ensuring expenditures are charged to appropriate accounts and verifying invoice for payment. Files annual tax forms and government reports. Provides technical assistance to management staff relative to fiscal and grant operations. Must be knowledgeable of and adhere to all Grant/Program policies and procedures and Agency Personnel Policies. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, fiscal management, or a related field required. 3 plus years of experience preferred.
