Registration underway for adult education classes at Northeast

NORFOLK, NE - Registration is presently underway for anyone interested in adult education classes through Northeast Community College. Classes are held in a number of communities across Northeast’s 20 county service area.

The Adult Education Department at Northeast Community College offers several services including instruction in basic skills such as reading, writing, and mathematics (ABE); preparation and testing for a high school diploma (GED®); English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction; and preparation for the Law Enforcement Academy Entrance Test.

Nancy Schultz, director of adult education at Northeast, said the program is free to anyone who is not enrolled in a secondary or postsecondary school.

"We encourage students to attend an intake session in order to register and develop a career pathways learning plan. It’s never too late.”

Classes will begin at all of the Adult Education class locations the week of August 20.

For more information or to register for Adult Education classes at Northeast Community College, contact Emily Duncan, adult education coordinator, at (402) 844-7253.
