Drafting - Structural
Degrees and Programs
In the Structural Drafting program, you will learn how to develop detailed working drawings for use in the construction of residential and commercial buildings. The program centers on the basic techniques of drafting — linework, lettering, and problem solving, and freehand sketching and calculations for measurements, volumes, site preparation, energy needs, and cost analysis.
You'll learn in labs with the latest technology and latest versions of Auto Cad and other design software. We work closely with local industry to make sure that you'll learn the needed skills to enter the job market. We also have a student Drafting Club, which is a great way to get involved and work on special projects such as our famous Corn Maze.
Enrollment in this program is limited and based on the date of completed requirements for acceptance into this program.
