Graduates are prepared for careers in environmental stewardship, conservation education, and agriculture, or to transfer seamlessly into bachelor’s degree programs in related fields.
Why Students Choose This Program
The Natural Resources program offers a strong academic foundation helping students develop critical thinking skills essential for success in upper-level coursework. The program is designed for easy transfer, allowing students to complete the first two years of their college education before continuing to a four-year institution. Northeast has established articulation agreements with numerous colleges and universities. These agreements ensure smooth credit transfers and clear pathways toward a bachelor’s degree. For students planning to transfer, it's important to work closely with academic advisors at both Northeast and the transfer institution, utilizing the Transfer Guide to make informed course selections that align with your transfer goals.
Small class sizes in the Natural Resources program provide students with personalized attention and the chance to learn directly from experienced faculty who are committed to connecting academic concepts with practical, hands-on. With a supportive learning environment and one-on-one mentorship, students build strong relationships and gain confidence in their skills—forming connections that support both academic growth and long-term career success.
This program is built on a foundation of innovation and hands-on learning. Faculty bring real-world experience in conservation, wildlife management, water quality, and sustainable practices—sharing not just what works, but why it matters. Students learn to think critically, respond to environmental challenges, and apply emerging technologies.
