Basic Nurse Aide

The Basic Nurse Aide program will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to administer responsible health care to the ill and aged in nursing facilities, long-term care facilities, and assisted care facilities under qualified supervision.
This course combines classroom lecture and laboratory application for the development of basic skills needed to provide safe, effective, and caring services to the residents of any health care setting.

Career Information
After successfully completing this course and a written and practical exam, you will be prepared for employment as nursing assistants in hospitals and/or extended care facilities. Your name will be placed on the basic nurse aide registry at the Nebraska Health and Human Services Regulation and Licensure, Credentialing Division.
