Apprenticeship is a flexible training strategy that allows you to develop career skills while working and earning a wage. It combines classroom instruction and on-the-job training to facilitate learning and career development.

Accounting Clerk

Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records.


Ag Diesel Mechanic

Obtain the basic knowledge and skills needed to service and repair diesel and gas-powered equipment. Learn to repair and test diesel fuel systems, engines, electronic control systems, power trains, brakes and electrical systems.


Certified Nursing Assistant

Develop the skills needed to provide safe, effective, and caring services to the elderly, chronically ill or acute illness individuals in a long-term care facility, clinic, or hospital setting.


Chemical Applicator

Prepare individuals to effectively operate chemical applicator equipment and understand what chemicals are used to treat certain infestations.


Child Development Associate

Prepare individuals to directly enter the workforce as a nanny, paraprofessional, or child care provider in a child care center or home.



Electrician

Individuals will work on becoming a licensed electrician in the state of Nebraska and obtain their journeyman’s license. Skills gained will include: residential and commercial wiring, finish work, motor controls, blueprint and cost estimating as well as troubleshooting.


Electromechanical Technician

Learn the skills and knowledge to install, maintain, and repair complex industrial equipment. Focus on electrical principles, circuitry, electrical controls, robotics, print reading, programming, and mechanical systems.


IT Helpdesk Technician

Obtain the skills necessary to problem-solve for a variety of end users and are prepared for entry-level support and help desk positions.


Welding

Develop skills to properly weld in all positions utilizing the processes for Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, and Flux Cored Arc Welding. Program encompasses welding, cutting, grinding, print reading and safety.

  3. Earn while you learn. Get on-the-job training from your employer and classroom instruction from Northeast Community College.
