Apprenticeship
Apprenticeship is an industry-driven, high quality career pathway where students participate in paid work experiences that lead to long-term employment. These programs rely heavily on work-based learning and typically require less coursework than traditional college degrees. Training ranges from 1 to 3 years depending on the occupation.
Northeast Community College offers apprenticeship programs to people of all ages who want to earn a salary while they learn. All apprenticeships at Northeast are registered with the U.S. Department of Labor, and the college partners with area businesses to provide employment opportunities that include on-the-job training.
Apprenticeship is a great fit for students who...
- Are planning to enter the workforce after high school
- Will attend college but want additional work experience
- Need to earn an income while attending college or career training
- Enjoy on-the-job learning and hands-on experience
