Northeast Community College's iHub is the Norfolk area fabrication lab, workforce development training lab, and youth STEM center where imagination, design, and creativity take place. This will include wood and metal shops, a robotics and automation lab and multiple collaboration spaces for project planning and construction. It will be available via membership to the community and to area employers for workforce training.
The iHub is intended for creation, ideation, and to promote elevation for our area. This collaborative and inclusive environment will give individuals the opportunity to explore, experiment, and create using cutting-edge tools and technologies.
All users of the space will undergo orientation and be trained appropriately on equipment.

Join us for a hands-on tech adventure where you’ll learn, create, and explore with the BBC micro:bit—a tiny, powerful computer you can hold in your hand!
We’ll start with a quick introduction to micro:bit basics and wireless radio signals, then we will delve into fun activities with Block Coding.
Whether you’re a first-time coder or a budding engineer, you’ll have fun building, sharing, and solving challenges—all while learning real tech skills you can use again and again. Come join us!

This retreat is designed to help FIRST LEGO League teams Think, Engineer, Achieve, and Master the competition while working together to elevate their team’s capabilities. Participants will explore multiple leadership and technical sessions to enhance skills in different aspects of the FLL program. Sessions are geared toward new and intermediate FIRST LEGO League teams, but teams of all skill levels are welcome!
