Becoming A Hawk!

Follow these steps to prepare for your on-campus NSR day.

1. RSVP to Confirm Your Attendance
   Let us know you're coming by submitting your RSVP.
2. Contact an Enrollment Specialist
   Call or text (402) 844-7575, or email enroll@northeast.edu if any of the following apply:
   • You can't attend New Student Registration on the date and time listed in your invitation—we'll help you reschedule or set up a virtual appointment.
   • You want to change your program of study (this may affect your registration date).
   • You no longer plan to attend Northeast.
3. Claim Your Account
   Follow these steps to complete your setup:
   • Fill out the form and read the Acceptable Use Procedures. Click accept to continue.
   • Note your User ID—you'll use this to log in to My Northeast.
   • Choose and answer your secret questions. These help you reset your password if needed.
   • Add your personal cell phone and email—this ensures you can recover your password later.
   • Create your password following the guidelines shown. Click Reset Password to finish.
   • You'll see a confirmation message and be redirected to the login screen.
   • Log in using your User ID or College-wide ID and your new password.

4. Complete Your Financial Aid
   Visit Financial Aid and check out the “How to Apply Next Steps” to get started.
5. What to Expect at New Student Registration
   • Plan to be on campus for about 3 hours.
   • You'll meet with advisors, register for classes, and learn about the resources here to support you.
   • Family and guests are welcome! While you register, they'll attend a session to learn how Northeast supports our students.

Follow these steps to prepare for your virtual NSR experience.

1. Watch the Virtual New Student Presentation
   Use the password provided in your New Student Registration letter or email to access the video.
2. Complete the Confirmation Form
   At the end of the video, fill out the confirmation form to let us know you've completed this step.
3. Schedule Your Appointment
   After you submit the confirmation form, you'll receive an email with instructions on how to schedule your virtual advising appointment.
   No need to contact your advisor before then.

5. Complete Your Financial Aid
   Visit Financial Aid and check out the “How to Apply Next Steps” to get started.
6. Meet with Your Advisor
   On the day of your virtual appointment, you'll meet with your advisor via Zoom. You'll receive everything you need to log in ahead of time. During the appointment, you'll register for classes and discuss any questions you may have.
   Please make sure:
   • You're in a quiet space where you can focus.
   • You've already claimed your account—you'll need it to register for classes during your appointment.

Attend New Student Orientation

Orientation helps you feel prepared for your first day.

• Watch your Northeast email for updates.
• Visit orientation for the latest details.

Set Up a Payment Plan or Pay Your Bill

Tuition must be paid before the first day of classes.

• Learn more and make payments.

Check Your Northeast Email

Important reminders and updates come to your student email.

• Access email through the Student Email icon in My Northeast.
• Download the Outlook app so you don't miss anything.

Purchase Your Textbooks and Supplies

Get ready for class by securing your materials:

• Review required textbooks.
• Purchase items through the Hawk Shop or another provider.
• Some programs have additional requirements—check your program details.
