MyMajors Assessment

Not sure what you want to study? Don't worry!

Freshman are advised at Northeast regardless if they have declared a major or not. If you are undecided or considering a major change, an Advisor will work one-on-one with you to help you choose a major.

When evaluating majors, it is important to consider your academic strengths, interests, and priorities. You should think about the 'why' behind your choice to attend college. Think about what aspects of your college education are most important — the outcome that you value most should be top-of-mind during the decision process.

  • Do you plan to enhance or update a skill?
  • Do you want to enter workforce after program completion?
  • Do you want to pursue a Bachelor's degree (4-year program)?

Our advice is simply not to stress. It is most important that you choose the major that is right for you, even if that means dropping one that you thought was a perfect match. Having the courage to make a change will impact your career satisfaction and overall happiness for many years to come.

Finding the right major often takes time and exploration, and Northeast has the resources to help you make a great choice. Advanced education can open many doors for you and enhance your employment potential.

You can take Northeast's My Majors assessment. This assessment will get to know your interests, strengths, and passions. You will be provided a list of best-fit majors to choose from at Northeast.

After exploration and completing the assessment, if you still want help, reach out to us.
