Whether you're looking for part-time work, a full-time career, or a chance to network with other students or professionals in your field of study. Handshake is a great place to start.

• Connect with employers actively seeking qualified college students. 

How to access Handshake

Enrolled Students:

• You are automatically assigned a Handshake account within 24 hours of registering for classes.

Follow these simple instructions to claim your account:

1. Go to My Apps on Northeast.edu.
2. Click on the lime green Handshake logo shown above.
3. Use single sign-on and your Northeast.edu email address to log in. 
4. Create your profile. 
5. Click on jobs found on the left side navigation menu to begin your job search.

As a proud graduate of Northeast Community College, you still have access to the same great career resources available to current students - including Handshake, our online platform for jobs, internships, and networking. 

How to access Handshake

Follow these steps to sign up for a Handshake account as an alum of Northeast:

1. Go to www.joinhandshake.com and click "Sign up" at the top right of the page.
2. Sign up using your personal email address (not your former school email). This will allow you to have long-term access to your account.
3. When prompted to "select your school," search for and choose Northeast Community College.
4. Complete the registration form by filling out the requested information, including:
   1. Your first and last name
   2. Graduation year
   3. Program of study
5. After submitting your request, our Career Services team will review and approve your account (this may take 1-2 business days). You'll receive a confirmation email once approved.
6. Start exploring! Once you are approved, you can log in to Handshake anytime at www.joinhandshake.com and start your job search. You can also use this platform to network with employers, as well as other students and alumni if you choose to.

How to access Handshake

Follow these steps to create a free employer account to start posting jobs, internships, or network with our students:

1. Go to www.joinhandshake.com/employers and click on "Post a job for free" in the top right corner.
2. Create your account and fill in your information.
   Note: Handshake requires a company-affiliated email address (no personal emails such as gmail or yahoo)
   1. first and last name
   2. work email address
   3. create a password
   4. click on "create account"
3. Connect with your company or create a new one. If your company already exists in Handshake, select it from the list. If not, choose "create new company" and enter your information.
4. Connect with Northeast Community College. Go to the "schools" tab, click "add schools," and search for Northeast.
5. Post jobs and internships.
