NORFOLK, Neb. — The Northeast Nebraska iHub, in partnership with the Norfolk Public Library, is excited to announce the return of its annual Robotics Camp, providing local students with hands-on experience in STEM and robotics.
The free camp will take place in two sessions this summer, welcoming young learners eager to explore the world of robotics and technology.
The first session, designed for students entering fifth and sixth grade, will run from June 9 through June 12. Participants in this group will work with FIRST LEGO Robotics, engaging in creative problem-solving and teamwork.
The second session, for seventh and eighth graders, will be held from June 23 through June 26, featuring VEX EXP robots, an advanced robotics program that introduces more complex engineering and coding concepts. Each session is limited to 20 participants, and registration requires attendance for all four days.
“Our first Robotics Camp was a tremendous success, and we’re thrilled to bring it back for a second year,” said Erin Sorensen, director of iHub. “These camps provide students with hands-on experience in robotics, coding, and teamwork, sparking curiosity and skills that can lead to future career interests but most of all it builds confidence. We are grateful for our continued collaboration with the Norfolk Public Library in making this program accessible to our community.”
Registration is open until all spots are filled. To secure a seat, interested families should contact the Norfolk Public Library directly.
