Northeast in Norfolk to offer session to assist on FAFSA applications

NORFOLK, NE – College-bound students and their parents intimidated by the financial aid process are encouraged to sign up for personalized assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid® (FAFSA) application. Northeast Community College will offer assistance on Wednesday, February 5, from 7:30-9:30 p.m., in the Hawks Point dining hall on the Norfolk campus.

During this event, representatives from the Northeast Financial Aid Office will be available to provide one-on-one help in completing the FAFSA application. The FAFSA form allows students to request federal grants, work-study, and loans, through one application. Students should apply early to maximize aid opportunities.

Students will need to bring a personal laptop, if available, student and parent(s) 2018 tax return, student and parent(s) 2018 W-2, FSA username and password for the student and parent, information on child support paid or received in 2018, as well as information regarding any other untaxed income earned in 2018.

There is no cost to attend any of the sessions and there is no obligation to register with Northeast Community College for anyone who participates.

Students and their parents planning to attend the session are asked to register online at northeast.edu/fafsa-event. For additional information, call the Northeast Community College Financial Aid Office at (402) 844-7285 or email finaid@northeast.edu.

Light snacks will be provided.
