Over 200 students attend part-time job fair

NORFOLK, NE – Northeast Community College students interested in part-time employment had the opportunity to visit with potential employers recently. Northeast’s Career Service Office hosted its annual Part-Time Job Fair in the Lifelong Learning Center on the Northeast campus in Norfolk.

The approximately 235 students were able to visit with the 43 employers who registered for the event about part-time employment opportunities during the 2019-2020 academic year. Employers recruited for a variety of positions including restaurant, retail, health, and customer service, among others.

“This event is a great way to connect employers and students,” said Terri Heggemeyer, director of career services. “It is an opportunity for employers to find part-time employees to fill their open positions. It also brings together local businesses and our students to help the businesses meet their needs and positively impact the local economy.”

The event is offered free to businesses and to students
